J.P. Losman, buf
Losman was able to work out with the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday, albeit on a limited basis. The quarterback, who sat out last week with a sore throwing shoulder and bruised left leg, was still walking with a slight limp. Although Losman currently is listed as probable for Saturday's meeting with the Cincinnati Bengals, head coach Mike Mularkey indicated he is leaning toward giving Kelly Holcomb the nod again this weekend.
12/16/2005
Lauvale Sape, buf

The veteran is filling in for second-year quarterback J.P. Losman, who has yet to practice this week, due to an injury to his throwing shoulder. Head coach Mike Mularkey officially announced the move following the Bills' practice on Wednesday.
J.P. Losman, buf
Losman will be absent from the Bills' starting lineup for Saturday's meeting with the Denver Broncos, due to a sore right shoulder and left leg. 12/13/2005
J.P. Losman, buf
Losman did not work out with the Bills on Tuesday, and he was scheduled to undergo an MRI on his sore right (throwing) shoulder, according to head coach Mike Mularkey. He's currently considered as questionable for Saturday's matchup with the Denver Broncos.

Willis McGahee, buf
McGahee was assisted off the field after taking a hit early in Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots. However, he turned in his worst performance of the season, picking up just three yards on eight carries and hauling in one pass for five yards.
12/9/2005

11/30/2005
Courtney Watson, buf
Watson will be placed on injured reserve by the New Orleans Saints in the coming days after undergoing surgery to repair damage in his knee earlier this week. The starting middle linebacker will miss the rest of the 2005 campaign. He finishes the year with 37 tackles and one sack in nine games.
Kevin Everett, buf
Everett recently resumed practicing with the Buffalo Bills, but the team has decided not to activate him from the physically unable to perform list, ruling him out for the entire 2005 campaign. The rookie tight end, who was a third-round pick in this year's draft, has been recovering since tearing ligaments in his left knee in a spring mini-camp.
11/28/2005
Kelly Holcomb, buf
Holcomb will remain in a backup role the rest of the 2005 campaign, as Bills head coach has announced that J.P. Losman will keep the team's starting job going forward. The veteran quarterback stepped into the top job following Losman's early season struggles, but not seen any game action since going down with a concussion against the Kansas City Chiefs two weeks ago.
J.P. Losman, buf
According to head coach Mike Mularkey, the Buffalo Bills will stick with Losman as their starter for the remainder of the 2005 campaign. The quarterback began the season at the top of the depth chart, but struggled and eventually lost the job to veteran Kelly Holcomb. He stepped back in when Holcomb went down with an injury in Week 10 and has remained in the lineup since.
11/23/2005
J.P. Losman, buf
Bills coach Mike Mularkey announced at his Wednesday press conference that J.P. Losman will start at quarterback for the second straight week. Losman threw for 168 yards and had one touchdown and one interception in last Sunday's 48-10 loss to the San Diego Chargers.
11/18/2005
Kelly Holcomb, buf
Holcomb should be medically cleared to play in Sunday's matchup with the San Diego Chargers, but he will not be in the Bills' starting lineup, according to head coach Mike Mularkey. The quarterback has not practiced with the team this week, as he continues to recover from the concussion suffered in last weekend's victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. Second-year signal caller J.P. Losman will get the nod in his stead.
J.P. Losman, buf
Regular starter Kelly Holcomb has yet to practice with the Bills this week after suffering a fairly significant concussion in last weekend's win over the Kansas City Chiefs. As a result, Losman will get the nod against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, head coach Mike Mularkey announced on Friday. The second-year quarterback, who began the season at the top of the depth chart, is 54 of 110 for 570 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in five games.
11/17/2005
J.P. Losman, buf
The Bills have yet to rule out Kelly Holcomb officially, but this point, it appears Losman will be the probable starter for Sunday's meeting with the San Diego Chargers. He continues to be bothered by headaches and shows up on this week's injury report as questionable.
11/16/2005
Kelly Holcomb, buf
According to Bills head coach Mike Mularkey, the team will wait until Friday to make a final decision on a starting quarterback for Sunday's meeting with the San Diego Chargers. Losman will get the nod.
11/14/2005
Kelly Holcomb, buf
Holcomb was unable to return to the Bills' lineup after suffering a concussion in the second quarter of Sunday's victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. The quarterback, who was replaced by J.P. Losman, will be re-evaluated over the next couple of days before his status and availability are updated. According to head coach Mike Mularkey, the injury was fairly significant.
Lee Evans, buf
Despite hauling in just three passes for 66 yards, Evans found the end zone twice in Sunday's 14-3 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, turning in his best performance of the 2005 campaign. The Bills' receiver has been fairly quiet this season, averaging fewer than three catches per game.
J.P. Losman, buf
Losman, who lost his starting job last month, was called upon to lead the Bills in Sunday's matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs after Kelly Holcomb was knocked out with a concussion in the second quarter. After taking over the reins, the second-year quarterback completed nine of his 16 pass attempts for 137 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
11/8/2005
Anthony Thomas, buf
After being released by the Dallas Cowboys last week, Thomas has found a new home, signing with the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday. The veteran running back was expected to serve as Julius Jones' primary backup this season, but he became expendable when Marion Barber and Tyson Thompson emerged and moved up the Cowboys' depth chart. Just two years removed from topping 1,000 yards rushing with the Chicago Bears, Thomas picked up just 80 yards on 36 carries with Dallas.
11/2/2005
Anthony Thomas, buf

Terrence McGee, buf
McGee is now inked through the 2009 campaign, agreeing to a four-year contract extension with the Buffalo Bills. According to his agent, the 25-year-old cornerback/kick returner will receive $18 million over the term of the new deal, including a $5 million signing bonus. He was selected to the Pro Bowl last year as a special teams player.
10/26/2005
Alan Ricard, buf
Ricard aggravated his strained calf muscle in Sunday's loss to the Chicago Bears, and the Ravens have ruled him out of Monday night's matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The fullback has been hobbled by the injury most of the season and has seen action in just two games as a result.
10/21/2005
Anthony Thomas, buf
With Julius Jones sitting out Friday's practice, it appears that Thomas will start at running back for the second straight week for the Cowboys when they meet the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday. Last week against the New York Giants, Thomas carried 21 times for 47 yards.
10/20/2005
Roscoe Parrish, buf
As long as no problems are reported over the next couple of days, Parrish should make his NFL debut when the Bills take the field against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. The rookie receiver, who was a second-round pick in this year's draft, has been working his way back into action since undergoing surgery nearly two months ago to repair damage in his right wrist. He worked out at full speed with the team on Wednesday and currently is listed as questionable.
10/19/2005
Andre' Davis, buf
Davis, who had been released last September 28, has been re-signed by the Patriots. 10/17/2005
Peerless Price, buf
With rookie Patrick Crayton out at least a month with an ankle injury, Price will move up a spot on the Cowboys' depth chart and take over as the team's No. 3 wideout. The veteran receiver has seen little action this season, notching just one catch in two games.
Anthony Thomas, buf
Thomas has been inactive for a couple games this season, but he was in the Cowboys' starting lineup for Sunday's victory over the New York Giants, filling in for Julius Jones, who was out with an ankle injury. The former Bears running back finished the contest with 47 yards on 21 carries. Tyson Thompson and Marion Barber also figured into the backfield mix, but their touches were limited.
Willis McGahee, buf
Following a season-high 31 carries in last week's win over the Miami Dolphins, McGahee was busy yet again in Sunday's victory over the New York Jets, picking up a career-best 143 yards on 23 rushes. The running back also punched it in from a yard out in the third quarter to notch his fourth touchdown in as many consecutive weeks.
10/15/2005
Melvin Fowler, buf
As part of a shakeup on the Minnesota offensive line, Fowler has been named the starting center for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears, replacing Cory Withrow.
10/13/2005
Chris Villarrial, buf
Villarrial reported was forced to spend Sunday night in the hospital undergoing tests and receiving treatment for an intestinal problem. The Bills' offensive lineman was released on Monday, and he return to practice with the team on Thursday. He plans to be in the lineup for Sunday's meeting with the New York Jets.
Kelly Holcomb, buf
Bills head coach Mike Mularkey has been hesitant to commit to a starting quarterback for this weekend's meeting with the New York Jets, but it appears Holcomb will get the nod for the second consecutive week. The veteran signal caller, who took over for the struggling J.P. Losman last week, has been taking the majority of the snaps with the Bills' first-team offense at practice over the past couple of days.
10/12/2005
Jason Jefferson, buf
The Buffalo Bills have signed Jefferson off the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad, filling the roster spot of Ron Edwards, who will miss the rest of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery last week. The rookie out of Wisconsin was a sixth-round pick in this year's draft (New Orleans).
10/10/2005
Willis McGahee, buf
McGahee found the end zone for the third consecutive week, rushing for 86 yards and a touchdown on 31 carries in Sunday's 20-14 victory over the Miami Dolphins. In five games on the season, the Bills' running back has picked up 461 yards on 109 rushes, a 4.2-yard average.
10/7/2005
Alan Ricard, buf
Ricard hasn't seen much work at practice this week after aggravating his strained calf muscle in last weekend's victory over the New York Jets. The Ravens are hoping the fullback can play against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, but admitted that his time could be limited. He has been listed as questionable on the injury report.
10/6/2005
Kelly Holcomb, buf
According to receiver Eric Moulds, Holcomb will step into Buffalo's starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins, replacing the struggling J.P. Losman. The Bills are hoping the veteran quarterback can supply a spark to their offense, which has produced just two touchdowns in the last 14 quarters. In limited duty this season, Holcomb is 5 of 9 for 27 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions.
Kevin Thomas, buf
According to Bills head coach Mike Mularkey, Thomas, who had surgery to repair a broken bone in his right leg last spring, underwent another clean-up procedure on his right knee about two weeks ago. The reserve cornerback is still on crutches, but the team has not officially ruled him out for the rest of the season. He will be re-evaluated in a couple of weeks before determining the next course of action.
J.P. Losman, buf
After leading the Buffalo Bills to a 1-3 record to begin the 2005 campaign, Losman has lost his job as the team's starting quarterback. According to receiver Eric Moulds, head coach Mike Mularkey has decided to give the nod to Kelly Holcomb, beginning with this weekend's matchup with the Miami Dolphins. Losman has posted a 55.9 passer rating this season, including only one touchdown and two interceptions.
Roscoe Parrish, buf
Parrish is at least another week away from being ready for game action, but he has resumed practicing with the Buffalo Bills. The rookie receiver, who was a second-round pick in this year's draft, has been sidelined since undergoing surgery nearly two months ago to repair damage in his right wrist. As a junior at Miami last season, Parrish had 43 catches for 693 yards and an ACC-high eight touchdowns.
10/3/2005
J.P. Losman, buf
Following Sunday's loss to the New Orleans Saints, Bills head coach Mike Mularkey indicated that Losman will be back under center when the team takes the field against the Miami Dolphins next weekend. The starting quarterback was pulled in the fourth quarter on Sunday after going 7 of 15 for 75 yards, one interception and no touchdowns. He also was sacked three times and fumbled once. Backup Kelly Holcomb handled the signal-calling duties the rest of the game.
10/2/2005
Peerless Price, buf
Despite getting some playing time the past two weeks, Price has been moved to the Cowboys' inactive list for this Sunday's game with the Raiders. Price is still looking to break into a significant role with his new team.
Anthony Thomas, buf
Thomas will remain on the Cowboys' inactive list for the second straight week. Thomas has yet to adequately impress head coach Bill Parcells, who has stated that reserves Tyson Thompson and Marion Barber will remain active.
J.P. Losman, buf
Losman was removed from the Buffalo quarterback position in the fourth quarter and replaced by reserve Kelly Holcomb. Early reports stated that the move was performance based.
9/28/2005
Andre' Davis, buf
After failing to make an impact in New England, Davis has been waived by the Patriots. The receiver, who was acquired from the Cleveland Browns in exchange for a draft pick last month, suffered a leg injury late in training camp and was unable to move up the Pats' depth chart. He will be replaced on the roster by veteran running back Amos Zereoue.
Kliff Kingsbury, buf
Kingsbury has signed with the New York Jets, helping to fill the lack of depth at quarterback after Chad Pennington and Jay Fiedler both were lost with shoulder injuries over the weekend. The former sixth-round pick (2003 - New England) was on the Denver Broncos' practice squad to begin the 2005 campaign, but was released by the club last week. He has yet to appear in a regular-season NFL contest.
9/26/2005
Takeo Spikes, buf
As feared, tests have revealed that Spikes has a torn right Achilles tendon. The Bills' Pro Bowl linebacker, who suffered the injury in Sunday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons, will be placed on injured reserve in the near future and miss the rest of the 2005 campaign. Coming into this year, Spikes had sat out just one game in his previous seven NFL seasons.
Anthony Thomas, buf
Thomas was inactive for Sunday's meeting with the San Francisco 49ers, as the Cowboys decided to go with Marion Barber and Tyson Thompson as the primary backups to starting tailback Julius Jones. In the team's first two contests of the 2005 campaign, Thomas picked up nine yards on five carries and hauled in two passes for five yards.
Willis McGahee, buf
After being challenged by Bills head coach Mike Mularkey earlier in the week, McGahee responded to the call in Sunday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons, rushing for a career-high 140 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries. The running back looked timid in last week's contest, recording just 34 yards on 13 rushes, which resulted in the criticism from his coach.
9/25/2005
Andre' Davis, buf
Andre Davis is inactive for today's game against the Steelers.
9/21/2005
Kliff Kingsbury, buf
Kingsbury, who had been on Denver's practice squad, was released by the Broncos on Tuesday. The move leaves the club with just two quarterbacks in the organization -- starter Jake Plummer and top backup Bradlee Van Pelt.
9/15/2005
Chris Villarrial, buf
Villarrial's sprained ankle has shown improvement over the past several days, and he is practicing with the Buffalo Bills this week. The offensive lineman was unable to finish last week's season opener against the Texans, but he's slated to be in the staring lineup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
9/13/2005
Peerless Price, buf
Still working on digesting the Cowboys' playbook, Price was inactive for last weekend's season opener against the San Diego Chargers, and it's likely that he won't see any action in Monday night's meeting with the Washington Redskins either. The veteran receiver inked with Dallas earlier this month after being released by the Atlanta Falcons.
9/12/2005
Rian Lindell, buf
Lindell connected on a career-high five field goals in Sunday's win over the Houston Texans, finishing just one shy of the Buffalo Bills' franchise record. The kicker converted from distances of 21, 31, 35, 39 and 42 yards. He also hit his only point-after attempt.
Willis McGahee, buf
McGahee was a bit banged up after taking a hit early in Sunday's season opener against the Houston Texans, but he was able to return to the Bills' lineup a series later and finish the game. The running back picked up 117 yards on 22 carries and hauled in three passes for 15 yards.
9/9/2005
Peerless Price, buf
Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells has yet to determine if Price will see any action in Sunday's regular-season opener against the San Diego Chargers. The receiver signed with Dallas earlier this week and has just a handful of practices under his belt. He'll likely be a game-time decision.
9/8/2005
Nate Clements, buf
Clements has been held out of practice this week as a precautionary measure, due to a minor shoulder injury. However, according to Bills head coach Mike Mularkey, the cornerback will be in the starting lineup for Sunday's season opener against the Houston Texans. He has led the Bills in interceptions each of his four seasons in the league.
Josh Reed, buf
Reed is listed as probable on the Bills' injury report this week, and he's expected to be available for Sunday's season opener against the Houston Texans. The receiver has been limited over the past several days by a sore hamstring.
9/7/2005
Chris Villarrial, buf
According to Buffalo Bills head coach Mike Mularkey, Villarrial likely won't practice with the team on Thursday after spraining his ankle during Wednesday's workouts. The starting right guard will be re-evaluated over the next couple of days to determine the extent of the injury.
Kiwaukee Thomas, buf
Thomas has signed with the Miami Dolphins, just days after being released by the Jacksonville Jaguars. The former fifth-round pick spent his first five NFL seasons with the Jags, notching 110 tackles, four sacks and a forced fumble in 75 games, including 11 starts.
9/4/2005
Melvin Fowler, buf
The Browns traded Fowler to the Vikings in exchange for offensive lineman Nat Dorsey. Fowler heads to Minnesota after spending his first three pro seasons in Cleveland, where he saw action in all but three games during the past two years. The center/guard was a third-round draft pick in 2002 out of Maryland.
9/3/2005
Peerless Price, buf
Price agreed to a one-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday, a move that reunites him with quarterback Drew Bledsoe. The pact reportedly is worth $2 million for the year, including a $500,000 signing bonus. The wide receiver had his best year in 2002, the lone season he played with Bledsoe in Buffalo. Price was cut by the Atlanta Falcons earlier in the week.
9/2/2005
Anthony Thomas, buf
With his performance in Friday's preseason finale against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Thomas appeared to all but wrap up a spot on the Cowboys' 53-man roster for the 2005 campaign. The running back rushed for 64 yards on 11 carries and hauled in three passes for 28 yards.
Andre' Davis, buf
An undisclosed leg injury knocked Davis out of Thursday's preseason finale against the New York Giants in the second quarter. The receiver's status should be updated over the next couple of days, but the information the Patriots release about their players' injuries normally is limited. Consider him as day-to-day at this point.
8/30/2005
Peerless Price, buf
Nearly recovered from a concussion, Price was back at practice with the Falcons on Monday, and other than some minor dizziness, he reported no problems. However, his return was brief, as the receiver was released by the club on Tuesday after failing to live up to expectations over the last two seasons. Since signing a seven-year, $42 million deal with Atlanta prior to the 2003 campaign, Price has caught just six touchdowns in 32 regular-season games.

Roscoe Parrish, buf
Parrish continues to recover on schedule after undergoing surgery earlier this month to repair damage in his right wrist. Price is still battling headaches from the concussion suffered when he was hit in last Friday's exhibition game against the Tennessee Titans. Peerless Price, buf
Price has been diagnosed with bruised ribs and a mild concussion, injuries suffered when he was hit in Friday's exhibition game against the Tennessee Titans. The Falcons' receiver improved significantly over the weekend, and he should be back on the field within the next couple of days, according to head coach Jim Mora. Price currently is listed as the team's No. 3 wideout behind starters Dez White and Michael Jenkins.
Andre' Davis, buf
The Cleveland Browns have traded Davis to the New England Patriots in exchange for a future draft pick. Reportedly, the receiver hadn't been having a very good training camp and had fallen on the Browns' depth chart. Competing for a starting job in the Redskins' defensive backfield this season, Bowen likely will miss a couple of days after spraining his right knee during practice on Wednesday. The veteran safety was carted off the field after suffering the injury, but was walking without any major problems later in the day. He will be evaluated on a daily basis, but expects to be ready for the start of the regular season.
Nate Clements, buf
Clements admitted Wednesday that he would like to be the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL. The former first-round pick will continue to negotiate with the Buffalo Bills until the start of the regular season in hopes of coming to terms on a long-term deal, as he is entering the last year of his current contract.
Willis McGahee, buf
As a precautionary measure, McGahee was held out of practice earlier this week after tweaking his right leg in last weekend's exhibition win over the Indianapolis Colts. However, the running back has worked out at full speed with the Bills the last two days and reported no problems, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Willis McGahee, buf
McGahee "tweaked" his right leg in last weekend's exhibition win over the Indianapolis Colts, according to Bills head coach Mike Mularkey, and the running back has been held out of practice the last two days as a precautionary measure. Mularkey indicated that McGahee could return to the team's workouts at any point, and he'll likely be available for Saturday's preseason meeting with the Green Bay Packers.
Shaud Williams, buf
Williams has looked solid in camp so far this year, and as a result, he currently leads in the battle for the primary backup duties to starting tailback Willis McGahee. The Bills' second-year running back, who had a team-high 46 yards on five carries in last weekend's exhibition meeting with the Indianapolis Colts, is competing against ReShard Lee and Dante Brown.

Parrish and the Bills agreed to terms on a four-year, $2.7 million deal on Friday, and he will join his Buffalo teammates for the opening of training-camp practices this weekend. The Bills' second-round selection in this year's draft (the team did not have a first-round choice), Parrish caught 86 balls for 1,355 yards and 12 scores in three seasons with Miami (Fla.).

Peerless Price, buf
According to Falcons head coach Jim Mora, Price will not be released by the team prior to the opening of training camp on July 25. However, Mora did say that the much-maligned wide receiver likely will have to earn a starting job -- if not a roster spot -- in camp. Releasing Price at this stage would mean a $5.7 hit against the salary cap, and also would leave the remaining receiver corps thin in terms of experience. Price had just 45 receptions for 575 yards in 2004.

Anthony Thomas, buf
According to head coach Bill Parcells, Thomas may need to find a niche on special teams to warrant a weekly spot on the active roster this season. Parcells indicated that he sees Thomas as a "thumper" -- a short-yardage and goal-line back. But he also said that might not be enough, and that the former Bear likely will need to find additional work on special teams. Thomas rushed for 1,000 yards in both 2001 and 2003, but he logged just 404 yards on the ground last season.
5/25/2005
