Dwight Freeney, ind
Freeney underwent an MRI on his shoulder Tuesday that came back "fine" according to Colts head coach Tony Dungy. The defensive end suffered a strained shoulder due to accumulation rather than a direct play. "It's something that's been bothering him, and it's our sense that he will be fine," Dungy said. "We just want to get it checked out. If it was a regular-season game, I'm sure he'd be out here practicing and playing."

3/21/2006
Adam Vinatieri, ind
The Colts have signed away Vinatieri from the Patriots, hurting one of their chief rivals in the AFC in the process. The kicker agreed in principle to a deal with Indianapolis, meaning the Colts now have one of the most clutch kickers in NFL history on their side.
3/6/2006
Peyton Manning, ind
Manning agreed to a restructured contract with the Colts to enable the team more flexibility under the salary cap. Manning was expected to cost the team $17.776 million against the 2006 cap, but it was reduced to about $12.5 million.
2/26/2006
Adam Vinatieri, ind
The New England Patriots declined to sign Vinatieri, passing on the chance to give the kicker a "franchise player" tag for the second straight year. The Patriots have until March 3 to change their minds, but without the tag, the team will not be compensated if he signs with someone else. The tag would assure Vinatieri a one-year $3 million offer.
2/25/2006
Raheem Brock, ind
Brock signed a five-year contract Friday to stay with the Indianapolis Colts. The defensive lineman, who tied a career-high with 6 1/2 sacks last season, was set to become an unrestricted free agent March 3. Last season, Brock finished seventh on the team with a career-high 56 tackles.

The Colts' cornerback needed three stitches to close the gash, but was on the field to start the game. The couple has had a history of problems, as Harper was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery for allegedly hitting his wife last June.
1/15/2006
Peyton Manning, ind
Manning's record as playoff quarterback fell to 3-6, as the Indianapolis Colts were upset at home by the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday, 21-18. The veteran quarterback's passing was often off the mark until the Colts made a comeback push in the fourth quarter. He threw a 50-yard touchdown pass to Dallas Clark in the final 15 minutes, and finished 22-for-38 for 290 yards. Yet, the Steelers stuck Manning with his third loss in his last four playoff games.

Bob Sanders, ind
With their playoff spot wrapped up, the Colts decided to hold Sanders out of the lineup for their final two games of the regular season, allowing him to rest a sore back. The Pro Bowl safety showed significant improvement during his time off and has been practicing with the team this week. He will be in the starting lineup for Sunday's postseason battle with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Corey Simon, ind
Sidelined since spraining his left foot in a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Dec. 11, Simon reported no problems after practicing with the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday. The month off has given the defensive tackle plenty of time to recover, and he plans to be in the lineup for Sunday's playoff battle with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He missed the last three games of the regular season.
1/7/2006
Dwight Freeney, ind
The Indianapolis Star reported Freeney didn't practice Thursday because of a mild hamstring injury. Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy said he expected his Pro Bowl defensive end to be in good shape by the weekend.
1/2/2006
Marvin Harrison, ind
Harrison's broken bone in his right hand didn't keep him out of the lineup for Sunday's finale win over the Arizona Cardinals. The Colts' wide receiver, who had two receptions for 19 yards, should continue to be one of Peyton Manning's favorite targets in the playoffs. Harrison topped the 1,000-yard mark (1,146) and had multiple touchdowns (12) for a seventh straight season in 2005.
12/31/2005
Marvin Harrison, ind
In a turn of events, Harrison, who has a broken bone in his right hand, now is expected to return to Indianapolis' starting lineup for Sunday's regular-season finale against Arizona. After missing practice last week and sitting out Wednesday and Thursday this week, the wide receiver appeared to be scratched from Sunday's lineup. But after running through drills on Friday, both Harrison and Colts coach Tony Dungy say they believe Harrison is ready to return.
12/27/2005
Marvin Harrison, ind
Recovering from a broken bone in his hand, Harrison will not play in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Arizona Cardinals. The veteran receiver, who was absent from the Colts' lineup last weekend as well, will have nearly a full month to let the hand heal, as the team has a bye in the first round of the playoffs. He will be ready for their first postseason contest.
Brandon Stokley, ind
With Marvin Harrison held out with a broken finger, Stokley saw extensive action in Saturday's loss to the Seattle Seahawks. However, the Colts' receiver was forced to leave after bruising his left knee late in the contest. At this point, he is considered as questionable for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Arizona Cardinals. Expect him to be a game-time decision.
12/24/2005

Harrison is one of three Colts starters who did not travel with the team to Seattle and will not play in Saturday's game against the Seahawks. The receiver, who broke a bone in his hand during last week's loss to San Diego, has 80 catches for 1127 yards and 12 touchdowns this year.

12/22/2005
Marvin Harrison, ind
Despite a broken bone in his hand, Harrison could return to practice on Thursday or Friday and be available for this weekend's matchup with the Seattle Seahawks. However, since the Colts have wrapped up home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, it is likely that the veteran receiver won't see much, if any, playing time over the last two weeks of the regular season, giving the hand plenty of time to heal. He has 80 catches for 1,127 yards and 12 touchdowns this year.
12/21/2005
Jose Cortez, ind
Cortez has signed with the Indianapolis Colts, joining his fourth team of the 2005 campaign. Mike Vanderjagt will continue to handle field goals and extra-point attempts.
Jim Sorgi, ind
According to head coach Tony Dungy, the Colts plan to treat their last two games of the regular season like preseason contests, since the team already has wrapped up home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. Even though Peyton Manning is expected to get the starting nod, Sorgi likely will take the majority of the snaps over the last two weeks. He has yet to attempt a pass this season.
12/20/2005
Marvin Harrison, ind
Tests have revealed that Harrison has a broken bone in his hand, an injury suffered in Sunday's loss to the San Diego Chargers. Since the Colts have wrapped up home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, it is likely that the veteran receiver will miss the final two games of the regular season, giving him nearly a full month to recover before the team's first postseason contest. Brandon Stokley is expected to replace Harrison in the lineup.
Peyton Manning, ind
With home-field advantage throughout the playoffs secured and their perfect record no longer intact, the Indianapolis Colts will treat their final two games of the regular season as preseason contests, according to head coach Tony Dungy. While Manning is expected to start, his playing time will be limited, allowing backup Jim Sorgi to take plenty of snaps. The team does not want to risk any injuries to their regulars.
Ryan Diem, ind
In Sunday's loss to the San Diego Chargers, Diem suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee, an injury that normally requires up to a month of rest, treatment and rehab. As a result, the starting right tackle will miss at least the rest of the regular season, and he might not be ready for the Colts' first game of the playoffs. Dylan Gandy and Kurt Vollers likely will see more playing time in his absence.
12/16/2005
Cato June, ind
June practiced without incident on Friday, and he hopes to be in the Colts' starting lineup for Sunday's matchup with the San Diego Chargers. The linebacker, who is nursing a sports hernia, sore knee and sprained ankle, probably will have his playing time limited, as a precautionary measure.

Manning had a rough time moving the ball in Sunday's 10-3 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, posting a passer rating of just 44.0. The Colts' quarterback was off the mark, completing 13 of his 28 pass attempts for 122 yards, one interception and no touchdowns. Despite constant pressure from the Jags' defense, Manning avoided taking a sack in the game.
9/18/2005
Dallas Clark, ind
Clark is active for Indianapolis' game against Jacksonville on Sunday. The tight end has been out since suffering a concussion during preseason action three weeks ago. In 15 games last year, Clark hauled in 25 passes for 423 yards and five touchdowns, but he should play a bigger role in the Colts' offense in 2005.
9/16/2005
Dominic Rhodes, ind
Rhodes continued to expand his involvement in the Colts' workouts on Thursday, and barring any setbacks, he should be available for Sunday's matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The running back has been sidelined for more than three weeks with a nagging turf toe injury, but reported no major problems after Thursday's practice. Rhodes finished the 2004 campaign with 254 yards and a touchdown on 53 carries.

Dominic Rhodes, ind
Sidelined for more than three weeks with a turf toe injury, Rhodes has been taking part in portions of the Colts' practices this week. The running back, who officially is listed as questionable on the team's injury report, will be re-evaluated over the next couple of days to determine his availability for Sunday's meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
9/14/2005
Dallas Clark, ind
Clark was back at practice with the Indianapolis Colts on Monday and has been cleared to return to the starting lineup for the team's Week 2 meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The tight end missed three weeks after suffering a concussion in a preseason contest.
Mike Doss, ind
Doss has served his one-game suspension and is back on the Indianapolis Colts' active roster, but there is no guarantee that he will be in the lineup for the team's Week 2 meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars, due to a groin injury. According to head coach Tony Dungy, the safety is questionable.
9/12/2005
Brandon Stokley, ind
Stokley was used often in Sunday's victory over the Ravens after returning from a dislocated shoulder suffered early last month. He led the Colts with seven receptions for 83 yards as the team's No. 3 receiver.
9/11/2005
Dallas Clark, ind
Clark traveled with the Indianapolis Colts for Sunday night's meeting with the Baltimore Ravens, but he will not play in the season opener, as he continues to recover from the concussion he sustained in a preseason matchup two weeks ago. The Colts are hopeful that the tight end will be ready for Week 2.
9/10/2005
Dallas Clark, ind
Clark will be a gametime decision for the Colts' season opener Sunday night against the Baltimore Ravens. The tight end, who suffered a concussion in a preseason game against the Denver Broncos two weeks ago, was held out of contact drills all week as a precautionary measure. A decision wlil be made once doctors review the results of neurological tests taken on Friday. In 15 games last year, Clark hauled in 25 passes for 423 yards and five touchdowns.
9/9/2005
Dwight Freeney, ind
As a precautionary measure, Freeney was held out of practice on Thursday, due to some minor soreness in his foot, according to Colts head coach Tony Dungy. The All-Pro defensive end missed some time early in training camp coming back from offseason shoulder surgery, but appears fully recovered from the procedure. He does not appear on the Colts' injury list this week.
9/8/2005
Brandon Stokley, ind
Stokley continues to expand his workouts with the Indianapolis Colts, and barring any setbacks, he will be dressed and available for Sunday's 2005 season opener against the Baltimore Ravens. The receiver has been sidelined since dislocating his left shoulder in the team's first exhibition contest last month, but is listed as probable on this week's injury report.
Dominic Rhodes, ind
Still battling the turf toe injury he suffered in a preseason meeting with the Chicago Bears nearly three weeks ago, Rhodes likely will not play in Sunday's season opener against the Baltimore Ravens. The Colts have listed the running back as doubtful.
Dallas Clark, ind
Clark has been limited over the past couple of weeks after suffering a mild concussion in a preseason meeting with the Denver Broncos. The Colts' tight end hopes to be cleared to play in Sunday night's regular-season opener against the Baltimore Ravens. In 15 games last year, Clark hauled in 25 passes for 423 yards and five touchdowns.
Mike Doss, ind
Following an appeal, the NFL has reduced Doss' suspension for violating the league's personal conduct penalty from two games to one. The penalty was imposed after the Colts' safety pled no contest to a misdemeanor gun charge earlier this year. He will be forced to miss the team's season opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, but will be eligible to return to action next week.
9/7/2005
Dexter Reid, ind
Reid's brief stint with Indianapolis has come to an end. The safety, who was claimed off waivers from the New England Patriots last week, has been released. A fourth-round pick in last year's draft, Reid recorded 25 tackles and a forced fumble in 13 games for New England last season, including two starts.
9/6/2005
Brandon Stokley, ind
Stokley returned to practice with the Indianapolis Colts on Monday, and if he is able to expand his workouts over the next several days, he should see some action in Sunday's regular-season opener against the Baltimore Ravens. The receiver has been sidelined since dislocating his left shoulder in the team's first preseason contest.
9/4/2005
Rocky Calmus, ind
The Colts acquired Calmus from the Titans on Saturday for an undisclosed draft pick. The fourth-year linebacker was limited to just four games for Tennessee last season due to lower back and hamstring injuries. He finished the '04 campaign on injured reserve. Calmus has played in 27 games (12 starts) during the previous three seasons, logging a sack, a pair of interceptions and a fumble recovery.
9/1/2005
Corey Simon, ind
Simon has agreed to terms on a multiyear contract with the Indianapolis Colts. The veteran defensive end, who was the sixth overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft, became a free agent earlier this week after the Philadelphia Eagles decided to remove their franchise tag on him. Last year, Simon had 32 tackles and 5.5 sacks in 16 regular-season games.
8/31/2005
Kendyll Pope, ind
Official details of Pope's suspension have been released. The Colts' linebacker will miss the entire 2005 campaign after being suspended for a year by the NFL for violating the league's substance abuse policy. He will begin serving the penalty immediately and will not be eligible to return to the club until next August.
8/30/2005
Kendyll Pope, ind
The Colts have placed Pope on the NFL's suspended list, after the linebacker violated NFL policy. The league and the team refused to comment on the exact reasoning, but will release a statement later in the week.
8/29/2005
Peyton Manning, ind
An MRI on Manning's left (non-throwing) shoulder revealed no damage, and the quarterback is expected to practice with the Colts this week. Manning, who bruised the shoulder in Saturday's exhibition game against the Denver Broncos, likely will be held out of the team's preseason finale as a precautionary measure. He'll be under center for a Week 1 battle with the Baltimore Ravens.
Corey Simon, ind
The Eagles have removed the franchise tag on Simon, making the former first-round draft pick an unrestricted free agent. He can now sign with any team without that team having to forfeit two first-round draft picks. Last year, Simon had 32 tackles and 5.5 sacks in 16 regular-season games.
Dexter Reid, ind
Reid has been released by the New England Patriots. A fourth-round pick in last year's draft, the safety recorded 25 tackles and a forced fumble in 13 games last season, including two starts.
8/26/2005
Brandon Stokley, ind
Stokley now is optimistic that he will be ready for the Colts' Week 1 battle with the Baltimore Ravens. Although there is still some minor soreness in his dislocated left shoulder, the receiver has reported no major problems. Stokley has expanded his limited individual workouts over the past several days, and he hopes to practice with the team as early as next week.
8/25/2005
Travis Brown, ind
Brown hurt his right shoulder and elbow in last Saturday's exhibition loss to the Chicago Bears, and the injuries are serious enough to force him to miss the entire season. The Colts have placed the reserve quarterback on injured reserve, officially ending his 2005 campaign.
8/24/2005
Jose Cortez, ind
Cortez has moved up to the top spot on the Cowboys' depth chart, as the injured Billy Cundiff was released by the club on Wednesday. The veteran kicker, who handled kickoffs only for the Minnesota Vikings over the last two seasons, inked with Dallas earlier this month. He has not attempted a field goal in a regular-season game since 2002 with Washington.
Marlin Jackson, ind
Jackson hasn't been practicing this week and he probably won't play in Saturday's exhibition game against the Denver Broncos, due to a sore hip. The cornerback, who was the Colts' first-round pick in this year's draft, has been listed as day-to-day.
8/23/2005
Dominic Rhodes, ind
Rhodes suffered a turf toe injury in Saturday's preseason game and could be sidelined several weeks. He was slated to fill a slightly larger offensive role as Edgerrin James backup again this year. James Mungro will take over the backup running back spot while Rhodes recovers.
8/17/2005
Brandon Stokley, ind
Stokley no longer is sporting a sling on his dislocated left shoulder, and the Colts are cautiously optimistic that he will be ready when they kick off the regular season against the Baltimore Ravens on September 11. However, the receiver still has a long ways to go, and the team is not going to push him too quickly. He will continue to rehab and strengthen the shoulder on a daily basis.
Dwight Freeney, ind
Although he already has been ruled out of Saturday's exhibition battle with the Chicago Bears, Freeney is optimistic that he will be cleared to return to practice with the Indianapolis Colts within the next few days. The defensive end has been limited to individual work, as he continues to recover from offseason shoulder surgery. He remains on schedule and should be ready for the start of the regular season.
8/16/2005
Dallas Clark, ind
Although a decision on Clark's availability for Saturday's exhibition battle with the Chicago Bears likely won't be made until later this week, the Colts welcomed the tight end back to practice on Monday. Clark, who missed most of the team's offseason workouts while recovering from hernia surgery, had been sidelined for the better part of two weeks with a hamstring injury.
8/7/2005
Jose Cortez, ind
Cortez signed with the Dallas Cowboys after working out with the team on Saturday. The veteran kicker, who handled kickoffs only for the Minnesota Vikings over the last two seasons, was signed after the Cowboys waived injured kicker Brett Visintainer. Cortez hasn't attempted a field goal since 2002 with Washington.
8/4/2005
Brandon Stokley, ind
Stokley dislocated his left shoulder during practice today as the Colts tuned up for the American Bowl in Japan. He could be out of action for up to four weeks. His availability for the start of the regular season is highly in question.
7/27/2005
Marlin Jackson, ind
Jackson and the Colts came to terms on a five-year, $6.975 million deal on Tuesday, and the team's first-round choice in 2005 was expected to report to the opening day of training camp on Wednesday. The 29th overall pick played both cornerback and safety at Michigan, where he logged nine interceptions and four forced fumbles in four seasons.
Kelvin Hayden, ind
Hayden signed a four-year deal with Indianapolis on Wednesday, and the team's second-round pick in the 2005 draft will be among those reporting to the opening of Colts training camp on Wednesday afternoon. Financial terms of the contract were not immediately available. The cornerback played two seasons at Illinois, and last year contributed four interceptions and a forced fumble in seven games for the Illini.
7/26/2005
Corey Simon, ind
Simon has yet to sign the Eagles' $5.1 million franchise offer for the 2006 season, and it is looking increasingly likely that the defensive tackle will sit out at least a portion of training camp. Philadelphia veterans are scheduled to report on August 1, but it is almost certain that Simon won't be among the group showing up at Lehigh University on Monday. Simon has missed just two regular-season starts in his five years with the Eagles.
7/16/2005
Johnathan Goddard, ind
The Detroit Lions have signed Goddard to a three-year contract. Terms of the deal were not announced. Goddard, who played at Marshall University, was selected by the Lions in the 6th round of the 2005 NFL draft.
6/15/2005
Rob Morris, ind
The Colts re-signed Morris to a one-year, $540,000 deal on Tuesday. Morris has been the starting middle linebacker for Indianapolis for the past four seasons, though he will enter training camp this year at No. 2 on the depth chart behind Gary Brackett. Morris was an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but he failed to garner much interest from other teams. In his career, he has 279 tackles, 105 assists and seven sacks in 68 games (60 starts).
Mike Doss, ind
The NFL suspended Doss without pay for the first two games of the 2005 regular season on Wednesday for violating the league's personal-conduct policy. The Colts' starting safety will be allowed to participate fully in the preseason, but he won't be able to join the active roster until Monday, September 19. The punishment stems from a May 29 incident in Akron, Ohio in which Doss fired gunshots into the air.
6/8/2005
Mike Doss, ind
Colts general manager Bill Polian said on Wednesday that the team will suspend Doss for at least one regular-season game in 2005 after the starting safety plead guilty on Monday to two misdemeanor gun charges. The charges stem from a May 29 incident in Akron, Ohio in which Doss fired gunshots into the air. He already has been fined and sentenced to perform community service. Doss played in just 10 games last year, and was limited by ankle, hamstring and groin injuries.
6/7/2005
Mike Doss, ind
Doss has been sentenced to 40 hours of community service and fined $1,000 after pleading no contest to misdemeanor charges of carrying a concealed weapon and firing a weapon within city limits. The safety, who was arrested after reportedly firing six shots outside a restaurant in Akron, Ohio on May 29, will be disciplined by the Colts, according to head coach Tony Dungy. He could face a suspension and/or fine from the NFL as well.
6/4/2005
Nick Harper, ind
Harper was arrested on Saturday for allegedly hitting his wife, Danielle. The Hamilton County (IN) sheriff said Danielle Harper was treated for an eye injury but was not taken to a hospital. The Colts' cornerback has been charged with misdemeanor domestic battery and will spend the weekend in jail before making an initial court appearance on Monday.
5/25/2005
Dallas Clark, ind
Clark has yet to practice with the Colts this offseason as he continues to recover from the hernia surgery he underwent in early April. The team hopes its starting tight end may be able to participate in some workouts before summer school ends on June 9, and Clark is expected to be ready to go at full strength by the start of training camp in late July. In his sophomore pro campaign in 2004, Clark caught 25 passes for 423 yards and five touchdowns.
5/18/2005
Dwight Freeney, ind
Although he might not be at full strength the first week or two of training camp, Freeney plans to be ready for the start of the 2005 regular season. The Colts' defensive end is on schedule in his recovery from offseason shoulder surgery. Freeney set a franchise record with 16 sacks in 2004, his third straight season with double-digit sacks.
5/5/2005
Kurt Vollers, ind
Vollers has re-signed with the Dallas Cowboys, agreeing to a one-year contract. The offensive lineman, who started 13 games last season, had been a restricted free agent.
