8/11/2006

Lefotu was released from the hospital Friday, two days after becoming ill and losing consciousness in his room. Lefotu, an offensive tackle, visited Redskins Park after being released from Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington. Lefotu will be monitored over the weekend at the National Conference Center, where the players are housed during training camp, and will miss the trip to Cincinnati for Sunday's exhibition game against the Bengals. Tyer said Lefotu might be able to return to practice on Tuesday.

Lefotu was reported to have shown signs of improvement Thursday as doctors tries to determine what caused the Washington Redskins rookie offensive lineman to lose consciousness in his room Wednesday. Lefotu was found in his room at the National Conference Center where the players are housed during training camp after failing to show up for Wednesday's 7 p.m. practice.
