Remy Hamilton

9/19/2005

Hamilton has been released by the Detroit Lions after missing his only point-after attempt in Sunday's loss to the Chicago Bears. With a bye in Week 3, the Lions expect regular kicker Jason Hanson to be back in time for their next game, making the fill-in Hamilton expendable. Guard David Loverne was signed to fill the void on the roster.

The Detroit Lions activated kicker Remy Hamilton and placed Jason Hanson on the inactive list before Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears. Hamilton was signed to the practice squad on Friday, as insurance against Hanson's hamstring injury. He was cut last month by the St. Louis Rams.
