Brandon Jones

11/30/2005

According to Titans head coach Jeff Fisher, tests have revealed that Jones has a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, an injury suffered in last weekend's matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. The rookie receiver, who was a third-round pick in this year's draft, will undergo surgery within the next two weeks and miss the remainder of the 2005 campaign. He will be placed on injured reserve.

11/28/2005

Jones was forced to leave Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers after spraining his right knee in the second quarter. Initial X-rays were negative, but Titans head coach Jeff Fisher said the rookie receiver will undergo more tests on Monday to determine the extent of the injury. For now, he has been listed as day-to-day.

11/17/2005

Jones used the Titans' bye week to rest his sore left knee, and it appears he will be ready to return to action in Sunday's matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The rookie receiver, who has missed the team's last two games with the injury, practiced without any problems on Wednesday. He should expand his workouts over the next couple of days.

11/3/2005

Jones continues to be hobbled by soreness and swelling in his knee, and he was unable to practice with the Tennessee Titans on Wednesday. The rookie receiver, who was a third-round pick in this year's draft, currently is listed as questionable on the team's injury report and likely will be a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup with the Cleveland Browns. He has 21 catches for 274 yards and two touchdowns in seven games this season.

10/28/2005

Jones reported that the swelling in his ailing knee has subsided, but the receiver hasn't been able to practice with the Tennessee Titans this week. According to head coach Jeff Fisher, it is unlikely that Jones will be ready to take the field on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. With fellow starter Drew Bennett sidelined with a finger injury as well, the team will look to Tyrone Calico, Roydell Williams and Courtney Roby to pick up the slack.

10/27/2005

Jones won't need surgery on his sprained right knee, but the injury might prevent him from playing in Sunday's meeting with the Oakland Raiders. The Titans' rookie receiver, who went down in last weekend's loss to the Arizona Cardinals, did not practice with the team on Wednesday. He will be re-evaluated over the next couple of days.

10/24/2005

Brandon Jones will undergo more tests over the next day or two to determine the extent of the right knee injury he suffered in Sunday's loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The Titans' rookie receiver, who was a third-round pick in this year's draft, originally was diagnosed with a sprain and has been listed as day-to-day.

10/5/2005

Jones has moved up the Titans' depth chart and will step into the starting lineup, replacing Tyrone Calico, who still is not quite back to full strength after undergoing knee surgery. The rookie receiver, a third-round pick in this year's draft, will line up opposite Drew Bennett.

8/24/2005

With Tyrone Calico slowly working his way back from knee surgery, Jones has been working out with the Titans' first-team offense, lining up opposite Drew Bennett. The rookie receiver, who was a third-round pick in this year's draft, currently is tied for the team lead in preseason catches with six.
