Everett recently resumed practicing with the Buffalo Bills, but the team has decided not to activate him from the physically unable to perform list, ruling him out for the entire 2005 campaign. The rookie tight end, who was a third-round pick in this year's draft, has been recovering since tearing ligaments in his left knee in a spring mini-camp.

Everett continues to recover from surgery to repair torn ligaments in his left knee, an injury suffered when his foot caught in the turf during the Bills' mini-camp in April. The Bills' rookie tight end, who was a third-round pick in this year's draft, will begin the 2005 campaign on the physically unable to perform list.

Tests on Everett's left knee has revealed a torn ligament, an injury suffered when his foot caught in the turf during the Bills' mini-camp on Friday. The tight end, who was a third-round pick in this year's NFL Draft, will undergo surgery in the near future and is expected to be sidelined for at least four months.

Everett missed practice at Saturday's mini-camp because of swelling in both knees. The rookie tight end was injured in practice Friday when his foot appeared to get caught in the turf when he tried to turn to go upfield after making a catch. Coach Mike Mularkey said the Bills would wait for the swelling to go down before having Everett undergo any more tests.
