Frank Gore
1/26/2006
Gore reportedly had surgery in Miami this week to repair one of his separated shoulders. The San Francisco 49ers' running back must wait another four weeks to have the same procedure performed on the opposite shoulder.
12/28/2005
Gore will get the starting nod in Sunday's season finale against the Houston Texans, filling in for Kevan Barlow, who was placed on injured reserve by the San Francisco 49ers on Wednesday. The rookie running back has appeared in 13 games this year, picking up 500 yards and three touchdowns on 102 carries, as well as 13 catches for 118 yards.
12/23/2005
Gore is expected to start against the Rams Saturday, reports the Sacramento Bee. San Francisco's rookie running back was initially listed as questionable for play after suffering an injury to his shoulder in the 49ers' 10-9 loss to Jacksonville on Sunday.
12/22/2005
The San Francisco 49ers are hoping Gore can return to practice on Thursday after missing the previous two days with the shoulder injury he suffered last weekend against the Jaguars. If he's able to go this Saturday in a matchup with the St. Louis Rams, the rookie running back will handle the bulk of the rushing load in place of Kevan Barlow, who is doubtful with a nagging knee injury.
12/15/2005
With Kevan Barlow expected to miss this weekend's matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars because of a knee injury, Gore likely will get the starting nod in the 49ers' backfield. The rookie running back, who was a third-round pick in this year's draft, has 353 yards and a touchdown on 73 carries in 11 games this season. He's also hauled in 10 passes for 61 yards, but lost two fumbles.
12/1/2005
Gore has yet to return to practice with the San Francisco 49ers, and he is not expected to be ready for Sunday's matchup with the Arizona Cardinals. The rookie running back, who has been sidelined since Week 10 with a strained hip flexor, currently is listed as doubtful on the injury report.
11/27/2005
Gore is out for San Francisco's matchup with the Tennessee Titans in Nashville on Sunday. The 49ers' running back won't face the Titans because of a hip injury. Gore has 65 rushes for 326 yards and a touchdown. He is averaging 5.0 yards a carry.
11/11/2005
Nursing a sore foot, Gore was held out of practice on Wednesday. However, the rookie running back was able to work out with the 49ers on Thursday, and he is expected to be available for Sunday's matchup with the Chicago Bears. Officially, he has been listed as probable.
8/16/2005
In his first workout in nearly a week, Gore reported no problems after returning to practice with the San Francisco 49ers on Monday, and as long as everything goes according to plan this week, he should make his debut in Saturday's preseason meeting against the Denver Broncos. The rookie running back, who was a third-round pick in this year's draft, had been sidelined with a shoulder injury.
