Reggie Brown
11/7/2005
Brown took advantage of additional playing time in Sunday's loss to the Washington Redskins, as he got the starting nod in place of the suspended Terrell Owens. The receiver, who lined up opposite Greg Lewis, finished with five catches for a team-high 94 yards and a touchdown.

With the Eagles suspending Terrell Owens, Brown is expected to replace him in the starting lineup when the Eagles take on the Washington Redskins Sunday night. The rookie wide receiver has nine catches for 108 yards and no touchdowns so far on the season.

Brown has been running with the Eagles' first-team offense this week in the absence of the injured -- and now suspended -- Terrell Owens, but the rookie receiver was forced to leave practice on Thursday after straining his groin. At this point, the injury is considered minor, and the second-round pick is listed as day-to-day.

Brown, a second-round pick in this year's draft, has signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, agreeing to a five-year contract. The receiver finished his college career at Georgia with 144 catches for 2,008 yards and 12 touchdowns.
