Travis Johnson

12/24/2005

Johnson was active for Saturday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars because of tightness in his back.

9/29/2005

With Gary Walker sidelined with a sprained shoulder, Johnson is slated to make the first start of his career in Sunday's meeting with the Cincinnati Bengals. The Texans' rookie was the first defensive tackle taken in this year's NFL draft and 16th player selected overall.

7/31/2005

Johnson has agreed to the Texans' offer to sign a five-year contract worth an approximate $10.2 million. The 306-pound defensive end will practice with the team for the first time this Sunday.

6/14/2005

Johnson will not participate in the Texans' three-day minicamp that kicked off Monday due to a hyperextended elbow he suffered last week. The defensive tackle was the 16th overall selection in the 2005 draft, and the coaching staff wants to be cautious at this time rather than risk losing him for the beginning of training camp.
