Thomas Davis

7/29/2005

Davis, the 14th overall selection in this year's draft, has agreed to a five-year contract with the Carolina Panthers on Friday. The safety out of Georgia stands to pocket as much as $10.6 million over the life of the deal, with $7.97 million in guaranteed money. The timing of the signing will allow Davis to join his Carolina teammates in training camp on Friday evening and be on the field for the club's first practice on Saturday.
