Harris had to be carted off the field after spraining his right knee in the third quarter of Thursday's preseason finale against the Tennessee Titans. Initial X-rays were negative, but the Packers' reserve running back will be re-evaluate on Friday to determine the extent of the injury.

Harris has been released by the Carolina Panthers. The running back picked up 53 yards on 15 carries in four games last season, but tore his hamstring in practice in November and spent the rest of the campaign on injured reserve.
