Eric Edwards

9/1/2005

Edwards continues to recover from the pectoral injury he suffered early in training camp, and the Cardinals expect him end to be ready for the start of the regular season. The tight end has been practicing with the team this week, and barring any last-minute setbacks, he will see some action in Friday's preseason finale against the Denver Broncos.

Edwards should be back on the field by the start of the regular season after further tests revealed his pectoral injury is not as serious as first thought. The Cardinals' tight end, who is expected to start for the team this year, could have missed the entire 2005 campaign if the muscle and/or tendon was completely torn.

Projected as the starting tight end for the Cardinals this year, Edwards suffered a partial tear in his pectoral muscle. The injury could sideline Edwards for the entire season.
