Samie Parker
11/17/2005
Barring any last minute setbacks, Parker will return to the Chiefs' starting lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Houston Texans, according to head coach Dick Vermeil. The receiver, who has been sidelined for more than a month with a sprained knee, reported no problems after practicing at full speed with the team on Wednesday. Parker will be the third option in the Chiefs' passing attack behind Eddie Kennison and Tony Gonzalez.
11/13/2005
Despite optimistic reports earlier this week, Parker will remain inactive today when the Chiefs face the Buffalo Bills.
11/11/2005
Sidelined since Week 6 with a sprained left knee, Parker made it through a full practice with the Chiefs on Thursday, and barring any setbacks, he should be in the lineup for Sunday's meeting with the Buffalo Bills. Officially, the receiver remains listed as questionable on the team's injury report.
11/2/2005
Parker continues to be hobbled by the sprained left knee that has kept him sidelined since Week 6, and the Kansas City Chiefs expect to be without his services again in Sunday's matchup with the Oakland Raiders, according to head coach Dick Vermeil. Officially, the receiver is listed as questionable.
10/28/2005
Parker hasn't been able to return to practice with the Kansas City Chiefs since spraining his left knee a couple weeks ago, so the team has ruled him out of Sunday's matchup with the San Diego Chargers. The receiver, who missed last weekend's win over the Miami Dolphins as well, will be replaced in the starting lineup by Dante Hall, with Marc Boerigter and Chris Horn seeing increased roles as well.
10/27/2005
Officially, Parker has been listed as questionable on the Chiefs' injury report this week, but he was unable to practice with the team on Wednesday, and it appears likely that he will miss his second consecutive game. The receiver has been sidelined for the past couple of weeks by a sprained left knee.
10/21/2005
The Chiefs-Dolphins game has been moved to Friday night, due to Hurricane Wilma. With the short week, Parker has not had enough time to recover from the sprained left knee he suffered in last weekend's victory over the Washington Redskins. As a result, the receiver has been ruled out this week. Marc Boerigter will get the starting nod opposite Eddie Kennison on Friday.
10/18/2005
Parker was forced to leave last Sunday's win over the Washington Redskins after spraining his left knee. The injury will limit his practice time this week and could keep him out of the lineup for the Chiefs' weekend meeting with the Miami Dolphins. His status will be updated in the coming days.
8/9/2005
Parker will be part of the Chiefs' starting lineup this season, lining up opposite top wideout Eddie Kennison, head coach Dick Vermeil announced over the weekend. The second-year receiver appeared in just four games during his rookie campaign, hauling in nine passes for 137 yards and a touchdown.
