Matt Schaub
10/10/2005
Schaub held his own in Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots, filling in for regular starter Michael Vick, who was held out because of a minor sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his right knee. He completed 18 of his 34 pass attempts for 298 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. In addition, Schaub converted a two-point conversion, finding receiver Brian Finneran.

With Michael Vick still hobbled by a minor sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his right knee, Schaub will get the starting nod for the Falcons in Sunday's meeting with the New England Patriots. The quarterback has appeared in all four games this season, but his action has been limited. He is 5 of 15 for 39 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions.
