Jacob Rogers

Rogers missed some time early in camp with a shoulder problem, but it is a knee injury that will end his 2005 season. According to team owner Jerry Jones, the Cowboys' second-year offensive lineman will be forced to undergo microfracture surgery next week after spraining his right knee in Saturday's preseason loss to the Arizona Cardinals. He will be placed on injured reserve.

Rogers has been battling some discomfort in his surgically repaired left shoulder during the early stages of training camp, so the Cowboys sent him in for tests on Tuesday as a precautionary measure. An MRI revealed no major damage, and although the offensive lineman could miss some time to rest the shoulder this week, he is not expected to be sidelined for an extended period.
