Bob Sanders
1/12/2006
With their playoff spot wrapped up, the Colts decided to hold Sanders out of the lineup for their final two games of the regular season, allowing him to rest a sore back. The Pro Bowl safety showed significant improvement during his time off and has been practicing with the team this week. He will be in the starting lineup for Sunday's postseason battle with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Sanders, who is dealing with a back injury, was inactive for saturday's game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Sanders' bruised knee prevented him from working out with the Colts on Wednesday and Thursday, but he was back on the field for Friday's practice and showed no signs of being limited by the ailment, according to head coach Tony Dungy. The safety is still listed as questionable on the team's injury report, but he is expected to be in the starting lineup for Sunday's battle with the Cincinnati Bengals.

An MRI on Sanders' sore knee has revealed no structural damage, and the Colts have listed him as day-to-day. According to head coach Tony Dungy, the safety, who was injured in the first half of Sunday's win over the Houston Texans, will be re-evaluated in the coming days to determine his availability for next weekend's matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Sanders was able to work out with the Colts on Thursday and looked fine, according to head coach Tony Dungy. As long as the safety is able to play through the pain in his injured left biceps muscle, he will be in the starting lineup against the St. Louis Rams on Monday.

Sanders was forced to leave Sunday's win over the San Francisco 49ers after suffering an injury to his left biceps. According to head coach Tony Dungy, the injury does not appear to be serious, and if the starting safety is able to tolerate the pain, he should be available to play. For now, he has been listed as day-to-day.
