Ben Troupe

12/16/2005

Troupe has recovered from the concussion he suffered in last weekend's win over the Houston Texans, and he is slated to get the starting nod in Sunday's tussle with the Seattle Seahawks. He has been practicing with the Titans this week, and currently is listed as probable on the injury report.

12/12/2005

Troupe was unable to return to Sunday's win over the Houston Texans after suffering a concussion. With regular starter Erron Kinney also out while recovering from knee surgery, the Titans looked to Bo Scaife to fill the void in the lineup.

12/7/2005

With top pass-catching tight end Erron Kinney sidelined for at least a week after undergoing minor knee surgery, Troupe is expected to see more looks in the Titans' passing attack going forward. The second-year player, who was a second-round pick in last year's draft, has tallied 37 catches for 297 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games this season.

11/20/2005

Troupe has been activated for today's game, and the tight end should be in Tennessee's starting lineup.

11/17/2005

Troupe used the Titans' bye week to rest his sprained ankle, and he was able to work out with the team on Wednesday. The tight end, who missed one game with the ailment and is listed as questionable on this week's injury report, plans to be back in the lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

11/6/2005

Due to the high ankle sprain he suffered last weekend, Troupe will be inactive for Sunday's matchup with the Cleveland Browns. Erron Kinney will handle the bulk of the Titans' tight-end duties, while Bo Scaife should see more playing time as well.

11/2/2005

Troupe suffered a high ankle sprain in the Titans' loss to the Oakland Raiders last weekend, and his availability for Sunday's meeting with the Cleveland Browns is highly in question at this point. The tight end will continue to receive treatment on a daily basis, but with a bye looming in Week 10, there is a good chance that the team might hold him out to give the ankle the extra time to heal.

10/10/2005

The elbow injury that kept Troupe out of practice early last week did not prevent him from playing in Sunday's matchup with the Houston Texans. The second-year tight end was busy in the Titans' offensive attack, hauling in a career-high eight passes for 67 yards and a touchdown.

9/12/2005

Troupe did not appear limited in Sunday's season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers despite seeing his first game action since breaking the fifth metatarsal bone in his left foot during a May minicamp. The tight end hauled in four passes for 28 yards and touchdown.

9/11/2005

Sidelined since fracturing the fifth metatarsal bone in his left foot during a May minicamp, Troupe will return to action in Sunday's regular-season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Although he won't get the starting nod, the tight end should see plenty of time on the field.

9/9/2005

Troupe has been practicing with the Titans since Wednesday, his first full-speed workouts since fracturing the fifth metatarsal bone in his left foot during a May minicamp. The tight end currently is listed as questionable on the Titans' injury report, but he has vowed to be in the lineup for Sunday's season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

9/6/2005

Troupe is expected to be cleared by the Titans' medical staff and return to practice with the team on Wednesday, his first full-speed workout since fracturing the fifth metatarsal bone in his left foot during a minicamp workout in May. The second-year tight end hopes to be ready for Sunday's regular-season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

8/29/2005

Troupe reported no problems after running routes and catching some passes during the Titans' practice on Sunday, and barring any setbacks, he should be activated from the physically unable to perform list later this week. The second-year tight end has been sidelined since fracturing the fifth metatarsal bone in his left foot during a minicamp workout in May.

5/27/2005

After futher evaluation, Troupe has been diagnosed with a fractured fifth metatarsal bone in his left foot, an injury suffered during a workout with the Tennessee Titans on Monday. The tight end will be forced to undergo surgery in the near future to repair the damage. He'll likely need a couple of months to recover fully, but head coach Jeff Fisher expects him to be ready for the start of the 2005 regular season.

5/25/2005

Troupe was forced to leave the Titans' workouts on Monday after suffering an injury to his left foot. Initial diagnosis is a broken bone, but the tight end will seek a second opinion before deciding whether or not to undergo surgery. He is expected to be sidelined for at least a couple of months.
