Ben Watson
11/14/2005
With Daniel Graham sidelined with a shoulder injury, Watson filled the void in the Patriots' starting lineup for Sunday's meeting with the Miami Dolphins. The second-year tight end took advantage of the added playing time and was a favorite target in the red zone for quarterback Tom Brady, finishing the game with three catches for 37 yards and a touchdown.

Watson is slated to see some action in Thursday's exhibition game against the New Orleans Saints after making it through practice this week unscathed. Battling an undisclosed ailment, the Patriots' second-year tight end was forced to skip the team's first preseason contest.
