The lawsuit states that Hill was bruised, incurred medical expenses and lost wages because of the fight.

After playing through a sprained ankle the previous two games, Taylor did not take the field in last Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Redskins' safety continues to wear a protective boot on his foot, and he was unable to practice on Wednesday. However, according to head coach Joe Gibbs, the team is optimistic that Taylor will be ready for this weekend's battle with the Oakland Raiders.

Unless his sprained ankle improves dramatically over the next couple of days, Taylor will not play in Sunday's meeting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to Redskins head coach Joe Gibbs. The safety has been in the lineup the last two weeks despite the injury, but he's been unable to practice with the team this week and was downgraded from probable to questionable on the injury report.

The shoulder injury that limited Taylor a bit last week forced him to exit in the fourth quarter of Sunday's overtime victory over the Seattle Seahawks. The Redskins' safety, who had been listed as probable going into the game, could miss some practice time over the next several days, but he hopes to be ready for the team's next game.

Taylor reported to Redskins training camp on Sunday, though his status for the upcoming season remains very much in question. The second-year safety still faces a September 12 trial date in connection with a felony charge of aggravated assault with a firearm and a misdemeanor charge of simple battery. The pair of charges stem from a June 1 incident in Miami in which he allegedly fired shots at the home of someone he believed had stolen his all-terrain vehicle.
