Jamaal Jackson

7/20/2006

Jackson signed a seven-year contract extension with the Eagles on Thursday. The 6-foot-4, 330-pound offensive lineman started the final eight games last season at center, replacing the injured Hank Fraley. Jackson spent the entire 2004 season on injured reserve with an arm injury and was on the 2003 practice squad after signing as a free agent out of Delaware State.

The Philadelphia Eagles have promoted Jackson from their practice squad, filling the void created when starting center Hank Fraley was placed on injured reserve with a shoulder problem on Wednesday. Jackson will supply the team with some depth on the offensive line.
