Urban has been released by the Seattle Seahawks after suffering a stress fracture in his left foot in last Sunday's victory over the Arizona Cardinals. The same ailment forced the receiver to miss the final three games of the 2004 campaign. His spot on the roster was not immediately filled.

Urban, who was released by Seattle a couple of weeks ago, has re-signed with the Seahawks. The receiver will supply the team with some insurance at the wideout position, as starters Darrell Jackson (knee) and Bobby Engram (ribs) are nursing nagging injuries. Defensive end Alain Kashama was released to make room on the roster.

Urban has been released by the Seattle Seahawks, opening a spot on the roster for defensive end Rodney Bailey, who inked a contract on Tuesday. In seven games last season, the receiver hauled in six passes for 117 yards and a touchdown. He was inactive for last weekend's 2005 season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
