Antonio Brown

11/23/2005

With regular returnmen James Thrash and Ladell Betts hobbled by injuries, the Washington Redskins have re-signed Brown, who was released by the club after fumbling a kickoff in a season-opening victory over the Chicago Bears. Offensive lineman Lennie Friedman was cut to make room on the 53-man roster.

Brown has been released by the Washington Redskins, opening a spot on the roster for kicker Nick Novak, who signed with the team on Tuesday. The receiver was used on special teams in Sunday's season opener against the Chicago Bears, taking back one kickoff 16 yards and averaging 2.5 yards on two punt returns.
