Elling has signed with the Baltimore Ravens, agreeing to a one-year contract. He will handle kickoffs for the Ravens, with Matt Stover continuing to boot field goals and extra points.

Elling was cut by the Vikings on Saturday. The placekicker had been locked in a battle with Paul Edinger for the job, but injured his right hip before Minnesota's preseason game against the San Diego Chargers, costing him a final opportunity to make his case for the spot.
