As anticipated, Marler has been released by the Jacksonville Jaguars. The kicker was traded to the Dallas Cowboys last week, but later was returned to the Jaguars after failing his physical. He last appeared in a regular-season game during the 2003 campaign, hitting 22 of his 33 field-goal attempts and converting all 30 point-after tries.
