Kliff Kingsbury

9/28/2005

Kingsbury has signed with the New York Jets, helping to fill the lack of depth at quarterback after Chad Pennington and Jay Fiedler both were lost with shoulder injuries over the weekend. The former sixth-round pick (2003 - New England) was on the Denver Broncos' practice squad to begin the 2005 campaign, but was released by the club last week. He has yet to appear in a regular-season NFL contest.

Kingsbury, who had been on Denver's practice squad, was released by the Broncos on Tuesday. The move leaves the club with just two quarterbacks in the organization -- starter Jake Plummer and top backup Bradlee Van Pelt.
