Cato June

4/25/2006

June re-signed with the Indianapolis Colts on Monday, agreeing to a one-year, $1.57 million contract.

June will not travel to Seattle for Indianapolis' game against the Seahawks on Saturday. The Colts' linebacker has spent the past two months juggling a sports hernia, a sore knee and a sore ankle. In 13 games, June has 102 tackles and five interceptions, including two returned for touchdowns.

June practiced without incident on Friday, and he hopes to be in the Colts' starting lineup for Sunday's matchup with the San Diego Chargers. The linebacker, who is nursing a sports hernia, sore knee and sprained ankle, probably will have his playing time limited, as a precautionary measure.

Although still optimistic that he'll be available, June likely will be held out of his second consecutive game when the Colts take the field against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday. The linebacker, who is nursing a sports hernia, sore knee and sprained ankle, did not practice with the team on Wednesday and currently is listed as questionable.

June's groin injury has been diagnosed as a sports hernia, and it is likely that he will be unavailable for Sunday's matchup with the Houston Texans. The Colts' linebacker has been unable to practice this week and currently stands as questionable on the team's injury report.
