Justin Gage

11/1/2005

After losing his starting spot earlier this season, Gage will return to the No. 2 hole on the Chicago Bears' depth chart, replacing rookie Mark Bradley, who will miss the rest of the campaign with a torn knee ligament. Beginning with Sunday's tussle with the New Orleans Saints, Gage will line up opposite top receiver Muhsin Muhammad.

Gage has lost his spot in the Chicago Bears' starting lineup, according to head coach Lovie Smith. The receiver, who has just two catches for 31 yards in three games this season, will be replaced by rookie Mark Bradley.

9/2/2005

Despite some stiff competition from rookie Mark Bradley, Gage will go into the 2005 regular season as the Chicago Bears' No. 2 receiver, according to head coach Lovie Smith. The wideout, who will line up opposite offseason acquisition Muhsin Muhammad, hauled in 12 passes for 156 yards in 16 games last season.

According to Bears wide receivers coach Darryl Drake, Gage has the inside track on the team's No. 2 wideout spot opposite Muhsin Muhammad for the 2005 season. Gage caught just 12 passes in 2004 for 156 yards and no scores, after posting 17-338-2 as a rookie in '03.
