Brandon Lloyd

4/21/2006

Lloyd signed a long-term contract extension with the Redskins on Friday. Terms of the deal were not available. Lloyd was acquired by Washington in a trade with San Francisco on March 12 for two draft picks. He is expected to be a complimentary receiver to Santana Moss after catching 48 passes for 733 yards and five touchdowns in 2005 with the 49ers.

3/12/2006

The San Francisco 49ers sent wide receiver Lloyd to Washington for a 2006 third-round draft pick and 2007 fourth-round selection. The deal is pending a physical.

12/20/2005

On Monday, Lloyd reported that his sprained neck felt much better than it did the previous day, when he was forced to leave in the first half after taking a hit from a member of the Jaguars' defense. As long as he continues to improve, the 49ers' receiver is confident that he will be in the lineup for Saturday's matchup with the St. Louis Rams.

12/18/2005

Lloyd left the 49ers' loss at Jacksonville Sunday in the first half with a sprained neck. He did not return, and finished the game with one reception for six yards.

11/21/2005

Lloyd tied his season high with seven catches in Sunday's loss to the Seattle Seahawks, totaling 119 yards and a touchdown. The score was the receiver's fourth of the 2005 campaign and first since Week 3.

10/29/2005

After missing practice on Thursday, Lloyd was with the team, and practiced on Friday despite back and hip soreness. Lloyd is expected to start this Sunday against Tampa Bay.

10/28/2005

Lloyd did not practice with the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday so he could undergo an MRI to determine the cause of the discomfort in his back and hip. The tests were considered precautionary, and the receiver plans to be back on the field on Friday. Currently, he is listed as probable for Sunday's matchup with the Tampa Bay.

9/26/2005

Lloyd shook off the sprained ankle that limited him slightly in practice last week and was in the 49ers' starting lineup for Sunday's meeting with the Dallas Cowboys. The receiver did not appear to be bothered by the minor ailment, hauling in four passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns, including an 89-yard score.

9/22/2005

Lloyd was limited to individual work on Wednesday, as he continues to recover from a sprained ankle. The 49ers' receiver plans to return to practice with the team over the next couple of days, and barring any setbacks, he will be in the lineup against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Officially, he is listed as probable.
