Nate Burleson

3/24/2006

The Seahawks have signed wide receiver Burleson, who played with the Vikings last season, to a seven-year offer sheet worth $49 million with $5.25 million guaranteed. It's an offer similar to what the Vikings gave to offensive lineman Steve Hutchinson, who played for the Seahawks last season.

11/27/2005

Burleson will be back for the Minnesota Vikings Sunday, according to a report from CBS. The Vikings' wide receiver has been battling hip, knee and shoulder ailments and didn't practice much this week, but he is expected to play against the Cleveland Browns.

11/22/2005

Burleson had been listed as probable on the Vikings' injury report despite missing the majority of the team's practices last week with a shoulder, hip and knee ailments. The club decided to hold the receiver out of Monday night's meeting with the Green Bay Packers as a precautionary measure, giving him some extra time to recover from the injuries. He should return to action this week.

11/18/2005

Burleson hasn't seen any practice time this week, as he is being bothered by soreness in his shoulder, hip and knee. None of the injuries appear to be serious at this point, and the Vikings expect the receiver to be in the lineup for Monday night's meeting with the Green Bay Packers. Officially, Burleson has been listed as probable.

10/24/2005

As anticipated, Burleson returned to action in Sunday's matchup with the Green Bay Packers, finishing the contest with three catches for 37 yards. The receiver had been sidelined since spraining the posterior cruciate ligament in the knee during a game against Cincinnati on September 18.

10/20/2005

Burleson took part in the Vikings' full-speed practice on Thursday, and after the workout reported no problems with his troublesome left knee. The receiver, who has been sidelined since spraining the posterior cruciate ligament in the knee during a game against Cincinnati on September 18, plans to be available for Sunday's matchup with the Green Bay Packers. In two games this season, Burleson has six catches for 93 yards.

10/18/2005

According to Vikings head coach Mike Tice, Burleson probably was healthy enough to play in Sunday's loss to the Chicago Bears, but the team decided to keep him out as a precautionary measure, since he didn't get much time on the field during practice last week. The receiver, who has been sidelined since Week 2 with a sprained knee, plans to expand his workouts over the next several days and be ready for this weekend's battle with the Green Bay Packers.

10/12/2005

Burleson was able to do some limited work prior to the Vikings' practice on Wednesday, but as anticipated, he has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears. The receiver is recovering from a sprained knee, as well as a sore shoulder and ribs, and will miss his third consecutive contest. In two games this season, Burleson has six catches for 93 yards.

10/11/2005

The sprained knee that has kept Burleson out of the Vikings' lineup the last two games has shown significant improvement, but the receiver might miss this week's matchup with the Chicago Bears because of a shoulder injury, according to head coach Mike Tice. Burleson, who has been sidelined since Week 2, will be questionable at best. His status will be updated later this week.

10/4/2005

Burleson continues to recover from a sprained posterior cruciate ligament in his knee, and barring any setbacks, he should be back in the Vikings' lineup when the team resumes play against the Chicago Bears in Week 6, according to head coach Mike Tice. The receiver has been sidelined since suffering the injury in a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on September 18.

9/26/2005

According to Vikings head coach Mike Tice, Burleson already has been ruled out of the team's Week 4 meeting with the Atlanta Falcons. The receiver continues to recover from a sprained posterior cruciate ligament in his knee, an injury suffered in last week's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Travis Taylor and Marcus Robinson will remain in the starting lineup, while Troy Williamson and Koren Robinson will see more playing time in backup roles.

9/23/2005

Burleson continues to receive treatment on his ailing knee, but he has yet to return to the field with the Minnesota Vikings. The receiver, who sprained the posterior cruciate ligament in the knee last weekend, is not expected to be available for Sunday's matchup with the New Orleans Saints. Officially, he is listed as doubtful.

9/20/2005

The Minnesota Vikings currently don't have an exact timetable for Burleson's return, but the receiver almost certainly will not play in Sunday's meeting with the New Orleans Saints. Reportedly, an MRI on his ailing knee has revealed a sprained posterior cruciate ligament, and he'll begin a rehab program immediately. Burleson has six catches for 93 yards in two games this season.

9/19/2005

After further evaluation, Burleson has been diagnosed with a strained left knee. The injury, suffered in Sunday's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, is considered minor, according to Vikings head coach Mike Tice, and the receiver has been listed as day-to-day. He has six catches for 93 yards in two games this season.

9/18/2005

Burleson left Minnesota's game against Cincinnati in the third quarter with a sprained left knee. He isn't expected to return. He caught three passes for 48 yards before departing.
