7/30/2006

Hamlin, sidelined since sustaining a fractured skull and blood clot near his brain in an altercation outside a Seattle nightclub last October, is set to participate in contact drills Sunday. Hamlin was beaten by two men in a fight that police say began at a bar and then continued outside. Hamlin spent six days in Seattle's Harborview Medical Center after the assault. No arrests have been made.

Hamlin has been placed on the non-football injury list by the Seattle Seahawks, ending his 2005 campaign. The safety suffered a skull fracture, a small blood clot, bruising of the brain tissue and a broken hand when he was beaten with a street sign during an altercation outside a nightclub in Seattle on October 17. He hopes to be back to full strength by next season.
