J.J. Moses

10/26/2005

Moses has re-signed with the Arizona Cardinals. The receiver/kick returner originally was claimed off waivers from the Chicago Bears late in training camp, but was cut shortly thereafter when the Cardinals inked fellow wideout Reggie Swinton. He fills the roster spot of Charles Lee, who was let go earlier this week.

Moses could not make an impression during his brief stint with Arizona, and he has been released by the Cardinals. The receiver/kick returner was claimed off waivers from the Chicago Bears last week, but was cut when the Cardinals inked fellow wideout Reggie Swinton on Monday.

The Cardinals claimed Moses off of waivers Tuesday after he was released by the Chicago Bears. The return specialist will be expected to replace J.R. Redmond, who was placed on injured reserve on Monday. Last year, he averaged 22.1 yards on 59 kickoff returns and 8.6 yards on 36 punt returns.

Moses has signed with the Chicago Bears, agreeing to a two-year contract. The receiver is expected to claim the team's return duties with Jerry Azumah recovering from hip surgery and R.W. McQuarters now with the Detroit Lions.

Moses has been released by the Houston Texans. In three NFL seasons, the receiver has failed to make a catch, but seen extensive time on special teams. He has averaged 22.5 yards on 121 kickoff returns and 7.3 yards on 77 punt returns in 32 career games.
