Matt Bryant
12/14/2005
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers chose to hold Bryant out of practice on Tuesday, allowing him to rest his troublesome hamstring. After sitting out Week 13 with the injury, the kicker returned to action last Sunday, nailing all four of his attempts (two field goals, two extra points). He's currently listed as probable on the team's injury report and plans to be ready for Saturday's matchup with the New England Patriots.

Bryant expanded his workouts a bit on Thursday and reported no problems with his strained hamstring. The Buccaneers' kicker, who missed last weekend's loss to the Chicago Bears with the injury, hopes to be available for Sunday's matchup with the Carolina Panthers. He remains listed as questionable on the injury report and likely will be a game-time decision.

According to Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden, Bryant will return to action this weekend, as long as he is cleared by the team's medical staff. The kicker was unable to play last Sunday after straining his hamstring on a kickoff in a loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 12, leaving the duties to Todd France. Bryant got in some work during the Bucs' practice on Wednesday, but did not participate in all his normal drills.
12/4/2005
Bryant will be inactive for Sunday's matchup with the New Orleans Saints, due to the hamstring injury he suffered on a kickoff against the Chicago Bears last week. In his absence, Todd France will be promoted from the practice squad to handle the Buccaneers' kicking duties.

Due to a strained hamstring, Bryant continues to be listed as questionable on the Buccaneers' injury report, but after failing to practice with the team all week, it appears unlikely that he'll be available for Sunday's meeting with the New Orleans Saints. As insurance, the team added Todd France to their practice squad earlier this week, and he will handle the kicking duties should Bryant be held out.

Bryant is expected to be limited in practice this week after suffering a minor right hamstring strain on a kickoff in Sunday's loss to the Chicago Bears. The Buccaneers' kicker will be re-evaluated on Thursday or Friday to determine his availability for next weekend's matchup with the New Orleans Saints.
