Samie Parker has been ruled out of Friday night's meeting with the Miami Dolphins, due to a sprained left knee. As a result, Boerigter will get the starting nod for the Chiefs, lining up opposite veteran Eddie Kennison.

Boerigter has re-signed with the Kansas City Chiefs, agreeing to a one-year contract. The receiver was slated to serve as the team's No. 3 wideout last season, but tore a ligament in his right knee in an exhibition game and missed the entire 2004 campaign. In 31 career games, he has 31 catches for 578 yards and eight touchdowns.
