Eddie Drummond
3/14/2006
The Lions re-signed the return specialist to a five-year deal worth $6 million, including a $2 million signing bonus.

Following Sunday's victory over the Baltimore Ravens, Drummond said he will be sidelined for at least a week with a hyperextended left knee. The Lions' receiver suffered the injury on the game's opening kickoff return and was unable to get back on the field. In four games this season, he is averaging 20.8 yards on 11 kickoff returns and 4.5 yards on 11 punt returns.

Drummond has ended his holdout, signing a one-year, $1.4 million contract with the Detroit Lions. The receiver, who still hopes to come to terms on a long-term deal, is slated to serve as the team's return specialist again this season.
