With a playoff spot wrapped up, the Chicago Bears plan to limit starter Thomas Jones' carries in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Minnesota Vikings. Since rookie Cedric Benson has yet to fully recover from a knee injury, the team will turn to Peterson to handle the bulk of the rushing load this weekend.

With regular starter Thomas Jones inactive with bruised ribs and top backup Cedric Benson going down with a knee injury, Peterson was forced to step up and fill the void in the Bears' backfield in Sunday's matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. The running back had no problems answering the call, rushing for 120 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries.
