The Panthers signed Wesley to a one-year, $656,000 deal on Tuesday. The restricted free agent has been in Carolina for the past three seasons, seeing action in 42 games. He again will compete for time at one of the reserve cornerback positions, but most of his playing time will come on special teams, where he accounted for 14 tackles and two assists in 2004.
