According to Jets head coach Herman Edwards, Baker will miss the rest of the 2005 campaign after breaking his left ankle in Sunday's matchup with the San Diego Chargers. The tight end, who will be placed on injured reserve, had two catches for 49 yards prior to his departure.

Baker was about the only bright spot for the Jets in their 27-7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. The tight end had a career day, hauling in seven passes for 124 yards and the only New York touchdown of the game.
