As anticipated, Fisher will miss the rest of the season with a slight tear in his groin. The cornerback, who has been absent from the Rams' lineup five of the last six games, was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday, officially bringing his 2005 campaign to an end. He will be replaced on the roster by defensive tackle Jeremy Callahan.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Fisher probably will miss the season's remainder due to what's been diagnosed as a slight groin tear.
