Doug Jolley
11/7/2005
Jolley should become more involved in the Jets' passing attack going forward, as fellow tight end Chris Baker will miss the rest of the season with a broken ankle. Acquired from the Oakland Raiders in April, Jolley has hauled in just eight passes for 91 yards in eight games this season.

The Oakland Raiders have traded Jolley, a second-round (47th overall) and two sixth-round picks (182nd & 185th overall) to the New York Jets in exchange for the 26th pick in this year's draft, as well as a seventh-round selection. Jolley, who was taken in the second round of the 2002 NFL Draft, hauled in 27 passes for 313 yards and two touchdowns in 16 games last season, but grew unhappy with his role in the Raiders' offense.
