Tests have revealed that Rumph has a torn muscle in his foot. The defensive back, who suffered the injury during Wednesday's workouts, will be placed on injured reserve and miss the rest of the season. With Rumph and Ahmed Plummer both sidelined, the 49ers will look to Willie Middlebrooks and Mike Adams to fill the openings in the starting lineup this weekend.
