William Green

12/4/2005

As anticipated, Green will be active and available for Sunday's meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The running back has not played since spraining his ankle in Week 8, missing the Browns' last four games. Prior to the injury, Green had 78 yards on 20 carries in seven games.

Green has not played since spraining his ankle in Week 8, missing the Browns' last four games. However, the running back returned to practice with the team on Wednesday and is planning to be available for Sunday's meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Officially, he is listed as probable.

11/10/2005

Green continues to be sidelined by a sprained ankle, and he is expected to miss his second consecutive game. The Browns have listed the running back as doubtful for Sunday's tussle with the Pittsburgh Steelers. In seven games this season, Green has 78 yards on 20 carries and five catches for 30 yards.

11/4/2005

As anticipated, Green officially has been ruled out of Sunday's matchup with the Tennessee Titans, due to the sprained ankle that has prevented him from practicing with the Browns this week. The running back, who has a protective boot on his foot, was downgraded on Friday.

11/2/2005

Green was unable to practice with the Cleveland Browns on Wednesday, and he shows up as doubtful on this week's injury report. Nursing a sprained ankle, the running back's foot remains in a protective boot, and barring a miraculous recovery, it does not appear that he will be available for Sunday's battle with the Tennessee Titans.

10/31/2005

Green underwent precautionary X-rays following Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans, and the tests revealed no major damage. Reportedly, the Browns' running back suffered a minor leg injury, but he does not expect to miss any time. Serving as Reuben Droughns' primary backup, Green finished the game with 48 yards on 10 carries.

Green may not see a lot of action in Cleveland's backfield Sunday against Green Bay. Browns head coach Romeo Crennel said he will stick with Reuben Droughns if the running back is hot, so it's possible that Droughns will play most or all of Sunday's game in Green Bay. Green had just four rushes for 12 yards against Cincinnati last week.
