Drew Bennett

1/5/2006

On Tuesday, Bennett underwent arthroscopic surgery to clean out his troublesome knee. The veteran receiver, who battled soreness in the knee for more than a month late in the season, plans to be recovered in time to take part in the majority of the Titans' offseason workouts.

12/27/2005

Battling a sore knee for nearly a month, Bennett now is nursing a slight groin strain. The Titans' receiver will be limited in practice this week, and his availability for Sunday's season finale against the Jacksonville Jaguars might be a game-time decision. At this point, he is considered as questionable.

12/22/2005

The sore knee Bennett has been battling the last couple of weeks did not prevent him from practicing with the Tennessee Titans on Thursday. The receiver, who is listed as questionable on the injury report, plans to be in the starting lineup for Saturday's tussle with the Miami Dolphins. He is coming off his best game of the season, notching eight catches for 93 yards and two touchdowns in last weekend's loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

12/9/2005

Nursing a sore knee, Bennett did not practice with the Tennessee Titans on Wednesday, but he was able to work out on Thursday and reported no major problems. Officially, the receiver has been listed as questionable on the injury report, but the ailment is not expected to prevent him from playing in Sunday's battle with the Houston Texans.

11/20/2005

Bennett will make his first start since October 16 when the Titans take on the Jacksonville Jaguars today.

11/19/2005

After making through practices this week with minimal discomfort in his surgically repaired thumb, Bennett is expected to start at wide receiver against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

11/17/2005

Sporting a protective brace on the left thumb he dislocated nearly a month ago, Bennett reported no major problems after catching some passes during the Titans' practice on Wednesday. The receiver was still quite sore after having pins removed from the thumb last Friday, but if Wednesday's workout is any indication, he should be ready for Sunday's matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Officially, he is listed as questionable.

11/15/2005

Bennett is still quite sore, but he plans to return to practice later this week after having the pins removed from his dislocated left thumb on Friday. If no major problems are reported, the Titans' receiver should see some time in Sunday's battle with the Jacksonville Jaguars, even if it is in a limited role. The ailment has kept him sidelined for more than a month.

10/17/2005

Bennett's dislocated left thumb would not go back into place, according to head coach Jeff Fisher, so he was forced to undergo surgery on Monday, and a pin was placed in his hand. The receiver, who has battled through heel, ankle and knee injuries already this season, is expected to be sidelined for at least the next two weeks. He has 26 catches for 407 yards and one touchdown in six contests this year.

10/16/2005

Despite missing practices late in the week, Bennett is expected to be active for the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. The wide receiver has been battling a sore knee. Through five contests this season, he has hauled in 19 passes for 346 yards and a TD.

10/14/2005

Bennett missed his second straight practice on Friday due to a sore knee. The Titans' starting wide receiver is currently listed as questionable on the team's injury report.

10/13/2005

As a precautionary measure, Bennett did not practice with the Tennessee Titans on Wednesday, but he is not listed on the team's injury report and is expected to be in the lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals. The receiver has been nursing heel, ankle and knee injuries in recent weeks, so the Titans decided to give him a day off to rest and get ready for the weekend.

10/10/2005

Bennett had his best game of the season in Sunday's victory over the Houston Texans, despite being listed as questionable going into the contest. The Titans' receiver, who was limited in practice last week because of heel, ankle and knee injuries, finished with five catches for a season-high 99 yards and scored his first touchdown of the 2005 campaign.

10/9/2005

Bennett was limited in practice all week because of heel, ankle and knee injuries, but he will be in the Titans' starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans. The receiver, listed as questionable going into the contest, should be Steve McNair's primary target this weekend.

10/6/2005

In addition to the bruised heel that he has been nursing the past couple of weeks, Bennett now is being hobbled by a sore knee and bruised hip. The ailments prevented the receiver from practicing with the Titans on Wednesday, and currently he is listed as questionable for Sunday's meeting with the Houston Texans.

10/2/2005

Suffering from a bruised heel, Bennett has been limited during the Titans' practices this week, and has been listed as questionable on the team's injury report. Despite the listing, Bennett is expected to play on Sunday against the Colts.

9/29/2005

As was the case last week, Bennett has been limited in practice over the past couple of days, due to lingering soreness in his bruised heel. However, according to Titans head coach Jeff Fisher, the receiver will take part in full-speed workouts on Thursday and be ready for Sunday's battle with the Indianapolis Colts.

9/26/2005

Despite missing some practice time last week with a bruised heel, Bennett was in the Tennessee Titans' starting lineup for Sunday's meeting with the St. Louis Rams, as anticipated. The receiver finished the game with six catches for 96 yards.

9/25/2005

Bennett will be in the starting lineup today when the Titans face the St. Louis Rams.

9/23/2005

As the Titans had hoped, Bennett was able to return to practice on Thursday after missing some time earlier in the week with a bruised heel. The receiver continues to be listed as questionable on the injury report, but according to head coach Jeff Fisher, the team is confident that he will be in the starting lineup for Sunday's matchup with the St. Louis Rams.

9/22/2005

A bruised heel has prevented Bennett from practicing with the Titans this week and currently has him listed as questionable for Sunday's meeting with the St. Louis Rams. However, according to head coach Jeff Fisher, the injury is not considered serious, and the receiver is expected to return to the field within the next day or two.
