Nick Harper

1/16/2006

Harper was able to play in Sunday's playoff loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers despite suffering a puncture wound to his right knee during a argument with his wife on Saturday. The Colts' cornerback needed three stitches to close the gash, but was on the field to start the game. The couple has had a history of problems, as Harper was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery for allegedly hitting his wife last June.

Harper was arrested on Saturday for allegedly hitting his wife, Danielle. The Hamilton County (IN) sheriff said Danielle Harper was treated for an eye injury but was not taken to a hospital. The Colts' cornerback has been charged with misdemeanor domestic battery and will spend the weekend in jail before making an initial court appearance on Monday.
