Adewale Ogunleye

12/31/2005

A slight hamstring pull could keep Ogunleye off the field this weekend. The Bears' defensive end suffered the injury during practice Thursday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Minnesota. Ogunleye leads the Bears with 10 sacks this season and has forced one fumble.

Chicago's defense sacked Carolina's Delhomme eight times in their 13-3 win on Sunday, as Ogunleye led the way with three.

Despite missing most of last week's practices with a sprained ankle, Ogunleye was in the starting lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bears' defensive end had been listed as questionable going into the contest, but ended up notching four tackles and a sack.

Tests on Ogunleye's sprained ankle were negative, but he continues to be hobbled by the injury. The Bears' defensive end has been unable to practice with the team this week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's meeting with the Cincinnati Bengals. According to head coach Lovie Smith, Ogunleye likely will be a game-time decision.

Ogunleye was unable to return to the Chicago Bears' lineup after spraining his ankle in the first half of Sunday's victory over the Detroit Lions. The defensive end will be re-evaluated on Monday to determine the extent of the injury.

According to Bears head coach Lovie Smith, Ogunleye has returned to practice with the team, and he should be at full strength by the start of training camp. The defensive lineman, who was acquired from the Miami Dolphins last year, has been recovering from offseason surgery to repair a slight ligament tear in ankle.
