Marcel Shipp
12/8/2005
Shipp missed last weekend's win over the San Francisco 49ers with a neck injury, but he was back on the field for the Cardinals' practice on Wednesday. The running back, who is listed as probable on the injury report, is expected to return to the starting lineup for Sunday's meeting with the Washington Redskins.
12/3/2005
Shipp has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers after being unable to practice all week because of a neck injury. The running back was injured during last week's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
12/1/2005
Shipp was unable to practice with the Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday, due to the neck injury he suffered in last weekend's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The running back currently is listed as doubtful for Sunday's matchup with San Francisco 49ers and will be replaced in the starting lineup by rookie J.J. Arrington if he's unable to go. If Shipp is able to work out with the team over the next couple of days, he could be upgraded, according to head coach Dennis Green.

With rookie J.J. Arrington sidelined with a stomach virus, Shipp got the starting nod against the St. Louis Rams last weekend, as anticipated. The veteran running back picked up 54 yards on 12 carries and hauled in five passes for 39 yards. Because of Arrington's early season struggles, Shipp likely will remain atop the Cardinals' depth chart again this week and could keep the job the rest of the season.
9/18/2005
Reportedly J.J. Arrington will be out on Sunday because of a stomach virus that kept him from practicing late in the week, and Shipp could get most of the carries for Arizona if Arrington is on the sidelines. Shipp ran for 10 yards on seven attempts last week against the New York Giants.

Shipp has been practicing with the Cardinals this week, and there is a chance he could see some action in Saturday's exhibition meeting with the Kansas City Chiefs. The team has been cautious with the running back, who missed all of last season with a broken leg and dislocated ankle.
8/4/2005
The Cardinals activated Shipp from the physically unable to perform list on Wednesday, allowing the running back to return to practice for the first time this year.
8/3/2005
Shipp has yet to participate in Arizona's training-camp workouts this summer, and the running back remains on the active-physically unable to perform list. The incumbent starter, who missed all of the 2004 season with a broken left fibula and dislocated left ankle, has been sidelined by a hamstring injury that occurred during offseason workouts. Shipp played in all 16 games for the Cardinals in 2003, making 11 starts and rushing for 830 yards on 228 carries.
6/2/2005
Shipp has resumed working out with the Arizona Cardinals, and barring any setbacks, he will be at full strength by the start of training camp. The running back has been recovering since breaking his left fibula and dislocating his left ankle in a scrimmage last August. He spent the entire 2004 campaign on injured reserve.
