T.J. Houshmandzadeh

12/22/2005

A sore foot has prevented Houshmandzadeh from practicing with the Bengals this week, but he is confident that he'll be ready for Saturday's matchup with the Buffalo Bills. The receiver, who officially is listed as probable on the injury report, likely will test things out over the next couple of days to determine his availability.

12/5/2005

With the Steelers' defense focused on stopping star wideout Chad Johnson, Houshmandzadeh had a solid outing in Sunday's win over Pittsburgh, finishing with five catches for a team-high 88 yards and two touchdowns. The Bengals' receiver has five or more receptions in nine of the 10 games in which he has appeared this season.

11/28/2005

Houshmandzadeh posted season highs for catches and receiving yardage in Sunday's victory over the Baltimore Ravens, hauling in nine passes for 147 yards and a touchdown. The Bengals' wideout now has two 100-yard outings in 2005.

10/23/2005

Houshmandzadeh will play on Sunday against the Steelers. The Bengals' wide receiver has been out of the lineup the past two games with a bruised right hand. On the season, Houshmandzadeh has 20 receptions for 248 yards and a touchdown.

10/21/2005

Houshmandzadeh's availability for Sunday's faceoff against the Pittsburgh Steelers is still up in the air until game time, although he showed improvement in practice this week.

10/20/2005

According to Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis, Houshmandzadeh should return to practice this week for the first time since early October, but his workouts still might be limited. The receiver has missed the Bengals' last two games with a bruised and swollen right hand, and he's currently listed as questionable for Sunday's meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers. His status will be updated over the next couple of days.

10/14/2005

On Friday, the Bengals downgraded Houshmandzadeh to doubtful for this Sunday's game against the Titans. The wide out is still nursing a hand injury suffered in the Bengals' loss to the Jaguars two weeks ago.

10/12/2005

Houshmandzadeh continues to be limited by a bruised right hand and wrist, and he was unable to practice with the Cincinnati Bengals on Wednesday. However, the receiver reported improvement and said he is optimistic that he'll be in the lineup for Sunday's meeting with the Tennessee Titans. If Houshmandzadeh is forced to miss his second consecutive game, Chris Henry will step into the starting lineup opposite Chad Johnson.

10/10/2005

Houshmandzadeh's bruised right hand and wrist were still too sore for him to play in Sunday night's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, landing him on the Bengals' inactive list. The receiver, who was sporting a cast during the week to help keep the swelling down, was replaced in the Cincinnati lineup by Chris Henry. Kelly Washington also saw added playing time as the team's No. 3 wideout.

10/7/2005

Reportedly, Houshmandzadeh has been wearing a cast at times this week to help keep down the swelling in his bruised hand and wrist. As a precautionary measure, the Bengals have kept the receiver out of practice over the last couple of days, but the team is optimistic that he will be available for Sunday's meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He likely will be a game-time decision.

10/4/2005

Following a bruised hand that he suffered during Sunday's win over the Texans, Houshmandzadeh will now be listed as questionable for the Bengals' upcoming game with the Jaguars. Through four games this season, the wide out has 20 receptions for 248 yards and one touchdown.

10/3/2005

Housmandzadeh topped the century mark for the fourth time in his NFL career and first time this season, hauling in eight passes for 105 yards in Sunday's 16-10 victory over the Houston Texans. The Bengals' receiver also had a touchdown catch, but it was called back because of a penalty.

9/18/2005

Houshmandzadeh practiced with his Bengals teammates on Friday, and he is probable for Cincinnati's Week 2 showdown with the Minnesota Vikings. Houshmandzadeh seems certain to be lining up opposite Chad Johnson on Sunday. He was good for five catches for 75 yards in the Bengals' win over Cleveland last week.

9/15/2005

As a precautionary measure, Houshmandzadeh was held out of practice on Wednesday, as he continues to recover from a bruised right arm and shoulder. The receiver is expected to return to the Bengals' workouts over the next couple of days and be ready for Sunday's meeting with the Minnesota Vikings. Officially, he is listed as probable.

9/14/2005

Houshmandzadeh will be included on the Bengals injury report this week and listed as probable with a bruised right arm. He suffered the injury last week against the Browns.
