McCants has re-signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, filling the roster spot of defensive tackle Paul Grasmanis, who will miss the rest of the season with a torn Achilles tendon. The receiver was cut last week to make room for kicker Todd France.

McCants has been released by the Philadelphia Eagles, opening a spot on the roster for kicker Todd France, who was promoted from the practice squad to fill in for the injured David Akers. The receiver inked with the Eagles after being released by the Washington Redskins late last month. He appeared in all three games, but notched just one catch for 22 yards.

Just days after being released by Washington, McCants signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday. In three NFL seasons (29 games), the wide receiver has 53 catches for 687 yards and eight touchdowns.

McCants has been released by the Washington Redskins. The receiver, who was a fifth-round pick in the 2001 NFL Draft, appeared in five games last season, finishing the year with five catches for 71 yards.
