Howell has signed a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks. Although official financial terms were not released, the deal reportedly is worth around $565,000. The safety, who has been with Tampa Bay since being selected in the fourth round of the 2001 NFL Draft, notched 17 tackles in 16 games last season, including six starts.
