Heath Evans
11/27/2005
A month after he was released by Miami picked up by the New England Patriots, Evans is a key player in Sunday's game against Kansas City. The Patriots will be without running backs Corey Dillon and Kevin Faulk again, and Evans should get plenty of work.

Evans, who was released by the Miami Dolphins last week, has signed with the New England Patriots. The fullback appeared in six games earlier this season, including two starts, and hauled in four passes for 17 yards. Amos Zereoue was cut to make room on the roster for Evans.

Looking to add a boost to their running game, the Miami Dolphins have released Evans and replaced him on the roster with fellow fullback Darian Barnes. Serving primarily as a blocking back, Evans appeared in six games this season, recording one carry for zero yards and four catches for 17 yards.
