LaMont Jordan

12/27/2005

Barring a miraculous recovery over the next couple of days, Jordan will not play in Saturday's 2005 finale against the New York Giants. The Raiders' starting tailback has been sidelined since suffering a turf toe injury in a loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 15. With Jordan out, Zack Crockett will start at running back, with Justin Fargas also likely to see some time in the backfield.

Jordan has been ruled out of Saturday's game against the Denver Broncos because of turf toe. The running back injured the big toe on his right foot during last week's loss to the Cleveland Browns, but remained in the contest and ended up running for a career-high 132 yards. A MRI earlier this week revelaed the turf toe injury and Jordan had his foot placed in a walking boot. He did not practice at all this week.

Jordan did not practice with the Oakland Raiders on Tuesday after an MRI revealed that he has a jammed big toe on his right foot. The running back suffered the injury early in last Sunday's loss to the Cleveland Browns before re-aggravating the problem in the third quarter. At this point, he is considered as doubtful for this weekend's tilt with division-rival Denver Broncos.

Despite suffering a turf toe injury in Sunday's loss to the Cleveland Browns, Jordan was able to remain in the Raiders' lineup and finished with 132 yards on 25 carries, along with five catches for 40 yards. He was scheduled to undergo a precautionary MRI to rule out any significant damage.

After failing to record a rushing touchdown in his previous four games, Jordan found the end zone twice in Sunday's loss to the Miami Dolphins, finishing with 97 yards and a pair of TDs on 23 carries. The Raiders' running back was also involved in the passing game, notching seven catches for 47 yards.

10/24/2005

Jordan had the biggest day of his five-year career on Sunday rushing for 122 yards, catching four passes for 40 yards and scoring a career-high three touchdowns in Oakland's win over Buffalo. In his first year as a starter, the Raiders' running back has put up excellent numbers. Through six games, he has 432 rushing yards, 245 receiving yards and eight total touchdowns.

Jordan did not appear to be slowed by the minor calf injury that limited his work earlier in the week, posting his best performance of the 2005 campaign in Sunday's victory over the Dallas Cowboys. The Raiders' running back rumbled for 126 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries, while also adding four catches for 22 yards.

Despite a limited participation in practice earlier in the week, Jordan is listed as probable and should be ready to play against the Cowboys on Sunday.

Jordan was limited in practice earlier this week, but he participated in the majority of the team drills during Thursday's workout and looked good, according to Raiders head coach Norv Turner. The running back is nursing some minor soreness in his calf muscle and shows up on the injury report as probable. He is expected to be in the starting lineup against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
